I’m a single mom, tax-payer, writer and educator with a thirty-year career in higher education as a tenured, Professor of English. It has been my honor to serve as President of the Abington Board of School Directors for the past two years.

Our schools are the beating heart of the Abington/Rockledge communities and the single greatest driver of economic opportunity. They anchor our neighborhoods, provide spaces where our kids grow and learn, make life-long friends, join clubs and teams, and learn how to navigate the world they live in. Public schools produce, firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, teachers, and everyone else who holds our communities together.
